Sometimes a house can take on unwelcome or unnecessary spirits, or entities that have lived in a house years and years before you moved in. Old energy can be released during construction, particularly painting of the walls. There may have been a death or tragedy in the house you are or are not aware of.

Space Clearing ceremonies are often done at the new or full moon. Other good times are at the change of seasons, the New Year, or a birthday, or any day that has personal significance for you or that is astrologically auspicious. Timing your ceremony to a significant date on the calendar and/or to coincide with the moon cycle helps to strengthen your connection with natural cycles and energies.
Space Clearing is different from just cleaning up your house. You are honoring your home, life, and family; joy and celebration are highly positive emotional vibrations that bring vitality to your space.
Do a full Space Clearing ceremony at least once a year, or sooner if you have a major life change such as starting or ending a relationship, marriage, birth, or career change. If you have a very busy life or are going through a difficult time, then do maintenance Space Clearing every 3 months or even every month if you feel the need.
The Process
Herbs, plants, prayer and incense will be used in each room, being attentive to closets, drawers and darker unused spaces. Doors are kept open with incense burning at the thresholds. Then the outside is cleared several times to ensure all positive energies surround your home inside and out.
It is not necessary for you to be present at time of clearing, but a walk through discussion before clearing is very important. Please allow 2-3 hours of preparation, cleansing and integration, depending on house size and energies needed to be cleared.
